GAWD DAMMIN' LIFE.
I have a LOT going on right now. I know I say that all the time, but it's true, I really do. If you could see me you would understand that. Just, please don't pressure me to post stuff, I'll get to it when I can.
I wanted to do a journal completely dedicated to hell week and the play, but it's already been a two weeks since hell week, so I figure it's a bit late now. (Two weeks already?!?! Damn... o_O) Hell week and the play went well, and I'm sad they're over, but that doesn't mean I don't have other stuff to do now.
Track just started, I'll be doing lighting for the winter one acts, my grades are UNBEARABLY low, anime USA starts tomorrow, (Though I won't be going until Saturday,) my DVR list is piling up because I haven't had any time for relaxation, we had a GSA meeting today at lunch, I'm playing multiple solos in Orchestra, my math teacher is NOT HELPING my workload at all, they won't let me switch out of AP NSL/GOV, I log on to my accounts to find over 100 messages I have to go through, my competition in everything is getting brutal, a few people hate me for literally no good reason whatsoever, a few of my really good friends aren't talking to me, I'm being blamed for multiple things that aren't my fault in the slightest, I have been getting even less sleep than I usually do and that's saying something considering I have insomnia... 'takes in a deep breath', yup, that's most of it I think... o_O
Well, that's the basic gist of my life at the moment. If you read that whole thing, I love you. Really, I do.

Now for the meme:
Writer's Meme
1. When did you start writing?
Ive always been into creating stories, and one day I just sort of realized that I could give my stories life by writing them all down, and writing about my characters.
2. First drafts: Handwritten, typed, or some combination?
Mostly handwritten, but some typed. I usually write out a first draft, re-write the draft, type it up while editing it again, then re-reading the whole thing one last time to catch any extra and/or missed mistakes.
3. Do you keep any kind of notebook or writer's journal, and if so, what kinds of things go into it?
I have a few binders, and a notebook. The notebook is for when I travel, and the binders I keep with me AT ALL TIMES. Literally, all times. My parents are always asking me why I carry it around with me. It like my life though, I just cant loose it. I think I would have to die if I did.
4. Do you set any quotas for your work (number of words per day, number of hours per day, etc.)? Why or why not?
If its a book, yes. I have a set number of words I need to write for every day, and I have a set number of words I should end up having at the end of the book, and at the end of each chapter. I need to set more realistic goals for myself though; I need to actually meet some of these goals at some point. XD
5. Are you most comfortable writing short stories, novels, or something else?
All of the above. I post short stories and poems on DA, and I also post continuous stories that are branches off some of the books Im working on. I REALLY want to actually finish writing a few of my novels, but well see what happens.

6. What's your favorite kind of story to write?
I write a lot of fantasy. I do write a bit of realistic fiction and sci-fi too, but its primarily fantasy. Usually they have a little bit of romance in them too; it makes the story more interesting. Most of my writings have to do with, or have, gay people. Im really pro-gay, so a lot of my characters have at least a little bit of gay in them. In one of my stories, practically no one is straight. X3
7. Talk about a story of yours that was easy to write and one that was difficult to write, and why.
The novels are hard because I lose interest too easily, and dont stay on track. Theres also this one short story that Im trying to re-write for someone, but the original is SO BAD, that its practically impossible to do. Ive already tried to re-write it something like seven times with no success. T.T
The easier ones would be the really short stories that only take me a few minutes to write, and are really easy to write character emotion wise. My major problem is that I cant get enough emotion, or really grip the readers at all. I NEED to work on that.
8. Which of your characters is closest to your sense of self? In other words, who do you most identify with in your own work to date?
Ooh, NEVER ask a writer that. It sounds like youre accusing them of creating gary-stu/ mary-sues. o_O
Mine would probably be
Well
All of them. Each of them has a little piece of me in them, because they are coming out of my mind and my own personal experiences. I can never really choose which one is closest to me. Ive always thought that my perfect girlfriend would be like Anya, Erika, or Lydia though.

9. What work are you most proud of right now?
Im not sure. Maybe one of the poems I wrote recently. I like it a lot actually, but I havent posted it yet. Book wise, Im proud of anything that Ive completely laid out the story for. My friends are actually shocked when they see my binder. They say the charts and tables look almost computerized
o_O
10. What do you feel your strengths and weaknesses are as a writer?
I SUCK at hooking the reader, expressing most emotions, and following through with finishing stories. :/
Im GREAT with mechanics though. Im a grammar nazi, so my grammar and spelling are great. :3
11. Name a few writers who have influenced you or your work in some way.
Ive learned different things from all of the following. Some people taught me what to do, some people taught me what not to do, and some of them just gave me inspiration. (Note: Not all of them are authors.) Here they are: J.K. Rowling, Stephanie Meyer, Cassandra Clare, Philip Pullman, Tamora Pierce, Ursula K. Le Guin, Owl City, Zavias, Foreverinmotion, Tworoads, Goo Goo Dolls, Regina Spektor, most musical soundtracks, and more.
12. Talk about something you've written that you later found embarrassing for some reason.
Oh gawd, what isnt?!?! Its usually when I have to do an uber romantic scene, sex scene, or just generally awkward scene. Some scenes are just kind of written awkwardly, and sometimes I end up re-writing the whole thing.
13. Talk about the earliest stories you remember writing. What were they about?
I have NO idea. It was a very long time ago, and probably had something to do with school. XD
Just a comment on what the person before me said: They aid their first piece of writing was a fanfiction. Just so you guys know, I dont do fanfics. I may try to write one once in a blue moon, but for the most part I stick to my own storylines. Its actually a lot easier for me. Thank you. And now a message from our sponsor
X3
14. If you knew you would be successful, what would you most like to write?
Theres a constant story Ive been working on, and I would like to be able to finish ALL of the stories for it that Ive laid out and thought of as of now. There are more of course, but I think I would be able to handle that if I could finish my constant-branch story-thing. ^.^
15. What inspires you?
People around me inspire me. I get my best ideas from talking to my friends, brainstorming, and lurking on the internet. Other stories and books also give me great ideas, along with different TV shows, anime series, and other things. A lot of it comes out of my own personal feelings and experiences too.
16. How many projects do you tend to work on at once?
A LOT. I rarely finish shit, and Im constantly getting new ideas and creating new plots and plans. I really need to focus on one thing and get that done before starting something else.
17. Who reads your work before it's released to the public? Do you have beta readers, a critique group, etc.?
NO ONE. I let absolutely NOBODY read any of my stuff, or look at any of my charts, before the story/poem/etc. is published. The exception to this rule would be Mee Na, Julia, and occasionally Zeke, who all help me edit my work, and improve my writing style.
18. When you're not writing, what do you do for fun?
Writing is practically my life, but more than that I think music is my life. Its one of the only things Im actually good at, and I really love and enjoy it. I play multiple instruments, and sing a little. Im also on the school field hockey team, track team, and am an active member of the GSA and S.T.A.G.E. as part of the lighting crew and general stage crew. I also love to fence, help out at the newspaper club, hang out with my friends, browse DA, and watch Avatar: The Last Airbender.
19. Advice to other writers?
Dont stop writing no matter what. If its something you like to do, then dont give it up. Not just for writing, but for everything. Just keep practicing and youll get better. I promise.

20. What are you currently working on?
A LOT of stuff. I cant even begin to tell you the half of it. I wrote a bit of poetry lat night, I still have a HUGE number of photographs I need to upload, and Im constantly working on my consistent story, which Im lad to say has been going strong for almost a year. I just have so much going on right now, I have no idea when Im going to get it all done. (ANIME USA STARTS TOMORROW! 8D)
21. Share the first three sentences of a work in progress.
Must I? I hate posting things before they are published
Fine, heres the start of one of my books. I think
o_O :
Chief, weve got a situation. We always have a situation. As the head of the police force I had to deal with many situations.
And THAT my friend, is threee sentences. :3
Since its obviouely not enough, Ill give you that whole paragraph. :
Chief, weve got a situation. We always have a situation. As the head of the police force I had to deal with many situations. What with robbery, homicide, car chases and badly behaved kids, I generally had a large amount of things to deal with. Most of the cases I had were very minor and werent much fun to figure out, but maybe that was a good thing. I turned around slowly, and froze. The expression on the messengers face told me that this was no normal case.
COPYRIGHT ME. You likey? THEN COMMENT! O_O
